Metal and ceramic braces are traditional braces which require a bracket (metal or ceramic) bonded to the cheek side of each tooth. An arch wire is attached to each bracket using metal ties or colourful elastics. As treatment progresses thicker arch wires are used to move and align teeth.

A key element to our orthodontics approach is the Individual Patient (IP) Appliance® incorporated in to the Progressive treatment plan. This is the first customised appliance system in the world and utilises an enhanced straight arch wire technique. Treatment with the IP Appliance® has been shown to be at least 6 months faster than the current straight arch wire appliance treatment.
