Dr Kate Bowman was born and raised in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the northeast of England. Kate qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, with merit in academic dentistry and distinction in clinical dentistry. Kate was also awarded the James Coltman medal for her restorative dentistry portfolio.
Since qualifying Kate has continued her enthusiasm for restorative dentistry and strives to provide the best quality of care for all of her patients. Having previously practiced in the same area in which she grew up in the UK Kate truly values the benefits a caring and patient focused outlook can have on a local community. Kate’s favourite aspect of dentistry is the restorative side of the profession but she also enjoys extracting teeth when (occasionally) needed!
Kate has recently relocated to the Bay of Plenty in order to pursue a higher quality of life and make the most of what our beautiful country has to offer.
In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling as much as she can and getting out into the country whether it be a relaxing day at the beach or hiking. She also enjoys keeping fit and completed the Great North run half marathon this year- raising money for Guide dogs in the UK prior to her big move.
